A Rustic Western Wedding at The Barn at Elk Shoal Creek | Brooke & Dakota
9/14/2024
Brooke and Dakota’s July wedding at The Barn at Elk Shoal Creek was full of love, laughter, and western charm. Set against the rustic beauty of the North Carolina foothills, their day blended cow print accents, personal details, and plenty of flowers into one beautiful celebration.
Brooke wanted a mix of neutrals with subtle pops of color, and we brought that to life through creamy white blooms, toffee-toned roses, soft greenery, and touches of blush and rust. Her bridal bouquet was a lush, garden-style mix of locally grown and premium blooms, tied with long trailing ribbon for a romantic touch.
The bridesmaids carried coordinating bouquets, and we created boutonnières and corsages for the whole family. For the ceremony, we designed a floral arch installation with locally grown greenery and blooms, which later got repurposed at the reception.
Inside the barn, low floral centerpieces in gold compote vases and bud vase groupings in amber and clear glass adorned each table. They sat on cedar wood slices to tie in the rustic, western feel, and a few cow print details popped up throughout the decor in the most fun way.
This was such a fun wedding to design, and it’s always a joy when brides like Brooke trust me to bring their vision to life!
